Ohio Isle New Year Bonus Block

Ohio Isle New Year Bonus Block

Written by:
Andrea Arledge

In homage, to my first pattern with Moda last year, I couldn't pass up the chance to incorporate an Ohio Star in to this years Countdown to Christmas! Being born, raised, and still living in Ohio, this traditional pattern holds a dear place in my heart. I hope you enjoy this year's bonus block!

2. Mark the diagonal on the back of six of the twelve HST’s made from step one and pair each with a non-marked HST, right sides together but the opposite colors meeting, right sides together. Pin over the seam so that the two HST’s nest together. Sew on either side of the marked line using a scant 1/4” seam. Cut on the line to separate. Press this seam open as well. Trim this QST to 2.5” square. You should have 12 total QST.
