There’s something special about a debut collection—especially when it’s filled with color, story, and heart.

We’re so excited to welcome Keri Anguiano of Catching Stitches to the Moda family with her very first collection, Honeyed Horizon—now arriving in quilt shops. Inspired by the shifting colors of the horizon from morning light to golden sunset, this collection blends soft florals, playful prints, and warm, honeyed tones into a palette that feels both fresh and comforting.

To celebrate, Keri is inviting quilters everywhere to sew along with her in the Staying Sharp Quilt Along—a meaningful, giftable project designed just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week and end-of-school-year celebrations.

About the Quilt Along

The Staying Sharp Quilt Along is a four-week beginner-friendly project featuring Keri’s pencil-themed design that’s perfect for gifting at the end of the school year. 

Whether you’re sewing for a favorite teacher, a school volunteer, or even your own classroom, this wall hanging is approachable, fun, and incredibly rewarding.

Quilt Along Dates:

May 5 - May 30th, 2026 

What You’ll Make:

A pencil-themed quilt project (wall hanging featured, with additional size options and projects included)

This pattern is thoughtfully designed for quilters of all levels and breaks the project into manageable weekly steps—perfect for sewing along together.

Weekly Breakdown

Keri has structured the quilt along so you can stay on track and finish strong:

  • Week 1 (Tuesday May 5) Pattern & fabric prep
  • Week 2 (Tuesday May 12): Cutting + half blocks
  • Week 3 (Tuesday May 19: Finish all blocks
  • Week 4 (Tuesday May 26): Assemble & finishing
