INGREDIENTS

From Snow (9900 11), cut:
{A} (1) 4” square
{B} (2) 3½” squares
{C} (2) 2½” x 6½” rectangles

From Scarlet (9900 47), cut:
{A} (1) 4” square
{D} (2) 3½” x 8½” rectangles
{E} (1) 5½” square
{F} (4) 2½” squares

From Peacock (9900 216), cut:
{G} (1) 2½” x 12½” strip
{C} (1) 2½” x 6½” rectangles
{H} (2) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
{I} (2) 2½” x 3½” rectangles
{F} (4) 2½” squares

From Betty’s Pink (9900 120), cut:
{J} (4) 4½” x 5½” rectangles
{H} (6) 2½” x 4½” rectangles
{K} (2) 1½” x 4½” rectangles
{E} (1) 5½” square
{F} (4) 2½” squares

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1. MAKE HSTs

Make 2-at-a-time HSTs with 4” squares, trim to 3.5“ square.

STEP 2. MAKE HOURGLASS

Make center hourglass with 5.5” squares. Make 2-at-a-time HST, then repeat with the HST to make 2 hourglass blocks (1 extra). Trim to 4.5” square.

STEP 3. MAKE FLYING GEESE

Make stitch and flying geese with 2.5” x 4.5” rectangles and 2.5” squares.  
Use the following combinations:
2 Betty’s Pink/Peacock, 2 Betty’s Pink/Scarlet,
2 Peacock/Betty’s Pink.

STEP 4. ASSEMBLE BLOCK

Assemble center of sweater by sewing units in rows together, then sew units into rows. Sew rows together.

Sew sleeves together into rows, then join to sides of sweater center. Sew top row together,
then sew to the rest of the block.
