Blockheads ~ Block 36
Blockheads ~ Block 36
Thirty-six down, twelve to go. Can you believe we're three-quarters of the way through the year?
The prints are from Rachel Remembered by Betsy Chutchian and Independence Trail by Minick & Simpson. And then there is the Snowberry by 3 Sisters background.
And okay, I might have tweaked my block just a little bit - I substituted half-triangle squares that finish at 1-1/4" (measure 1-3/4" with seam allowance included) for the plain square. It just felt like the thing to do. (Cut the squares at 2-1/8" to piece them to size, or cut them at 2-1/4" and trim them to measure 1-3/4" after piecing.)
With Market looming, I didn't get a Figgy block done but I'll try to catch up with all of my "missing blocks" this weekend.

Here is Tammy's block 36 - prints from Wild Orchid by Blackbird Designs.
Question of the Week ~ How many Moda fabric collections have you created? Do you have a favorite? If so, which one is it and why is it your favorite?
None. As several people will happily point out, I am not a Moda fabric designer. I think that makes me the "plus-one" in this group of Blockheads. <insert smiling emoji here.>

Update: Blogger is messing with Jan Patek's blog so for the time being, she has a new blog link - http://janpatekquilts.blogspot.com/2017/11/moda-blockheads-block-36.html
Don't forget that there is a Blockheads Archive with links to all of the published blocks and blog posts.
That's it for today, November 8. Be sure to visit Lisa, Lynne, Betsy, Jo and Jan to see their blocks and what other good things they might have made:
- Lynne’s Blog / Facebook / Website
- Betsy’s Blog / Facebook / Instagram
- Jo’s Blog / Instagram

And don’t miss the blocks being posted to #modablockheads on Instagram and Facebook. The colors, styles of fabric and block variations are wonderful.
If you're not already a member, you can still join the Moda Blockheads Facebook group. It's a busy group with lots of tips, suggestions and support.
Happy Blockhead Wednesday!
