Her commitment has rallied the quilting community to create and donate quilts, offering comfort to children entering foster care.Through her educational content and charitable initiatives, Stacey Lee embodies the spirit of giving and creativity that defines the quilting community!
Each year, tens of thousands of children enter foster care with nothing but a trash bag to carry their belongings. Comfort Cases provides these children with backpacks filled with essential items like toiletries, pajamas, a blanket, a book, and more—helping them feel valued and cared for during a difficult transition.
Since its founding in 2013, Comfort Cases has distributed over 250,000 bags across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. Their mission is to inspire communities to show children in foster care that they matter and are loved.
