Materials Needed:

• (4) 1/4 yards for flowers
• (2) 1/8 yards for leaves
• 1/8 yard for flower centers
• 3/4 yard Background #1
• 3/8 yard Binding
• 7/8 yard Backing
• Sweet Blooms Table Runner Pattern # BNB2506

Paper and PDF patterns are available in our shop at Sew Lux Fabric or ask your local quilt shop to carry the paper pattern and kit one up for you! 

The original version of this project was made using Tango by Kate Spain. For this remix, we're showing you how it looks in 30’s Playtime 2025 by Linzee Kull McCray, which is shipping to shops now. Check out the other mock ups I have to share at the end of this post, too. 

This runner is based off of one flower block, but requires a bit more care to create the alternating leaves that connect them. As you make the units, be sure to pay attention to the pattern directions to create the right combinations of color placement.

After sewing all these snowball corners, I recommend double checking your block size and trimming up anything that is a little wonky. I know this may feel a bit tedious, but it is definitely worth the effort!

Once you get all of your units made, you’ll sew them into two long rows.

Follow the directions and diagrams in the pattern for putting the rows together. 

This table runner is on the larger size - finishing at 16.5” x 54.5”, so it could even lay across the end of a bed or be hung on a wall vertically at the end of a hallway to show it off.

I have included a couple of mock ups in other new collections arriving in shops soon from Moda: Sunburst Batiks by Moda and Pick Me by Me & My Sister. As I was working with these red and pink flowers, I thought this could even work with red Christmas floral prints, too!

If your local shop is carrying one of these collections, ask them to kit one up for you or help you select prints from another collection that catches your eye!
