Paper and PDF patterns are available in our shop at Sew Lux Fabric or ask your local quilt shop to carry the paper pattern and kit one up for you! 

The original version of this project was made using Sunflowers in My Heart by Kate Spain. For this remix, we're showing you how it looks in Peachy by Jessica Rose, which is shipping to shops now. Check out the other mock ups I have to share at the end of this post, too. 

This runner is beginner friendly as you make one block! You’ll start by making Quarter Square Triangle (QST) blocks and then adding borders to two sides.

Once you get all of your units made, you’ll add some snowball corners and then pay CLOSE ATTENTION to the orientation of the blocks when you add borders to them. This will help create the sashing and make the blocks “twist and turn” across the runner.

Follow the directions and diagrams in the pattern for piecing and then joining the two rows together. If you have access to a design wall or floor space, this is helpful to use in laying them out.

For my version, I did a mix of free motion quilting in the blocks and outline quilting in the sashing after getting the top put together and basted.

I really love the color palette of this collection and think it looks great in this pattern.

I have included a couple of mock ups in other new collections arriving in shops soon from In the Garden by Corey Yoder and Reef by Kate Spain. This would also be great in Christmas prints too!
