Demo: Tack It Easy + Quatro Hexie

The Quatro Hexie unit is a wonderful building block — perfect for experimenting with color placement, fussy cutting, and repetition.

From the pattern and demo, you’ll need:

• 1 " Paper Pieces EPP Papers
• Tack It Easy tool
• 1" Acrlylic Paper Pieces Hexagon Template
• Fabric scraps or Bella Solids
• Sewline Glue Stick

This is a fantastic small-scale project to try at the booth — and a great introduction to Paper Pieces’ precision papers and tools.

Disco Hexie is bold, graphic, and entirely machine pieced using the Moda PJR Half Hexie Template. It includes finishing instructions for either irregular hexie edges or straight trimmed edges.

You can get the half-hexie template from your favorite local or online quilt shop!

This quilt is perfect for confident beginners who want the hexie look without EPP.

If you’re new to using the Half Hexie template, we’ve made a little tutorial to walk you through it!

Disco Hexie gives you full-hex impact with streamlined construction.

FREE PATTERN: Daisy Chain

Daisy Chain combines English Paper Pieced hexie flowers with a striking 60° triangle background. The layered cube illusion creates depth, while the flowers float beautifully across the surface.

This project is ideal for quilters who love hand stitching and want to build EPP flowers efficiently using the Tack It Easy tool.

The flower units are portable and make wonderful travel sewing.

Sew Hexy features bold oversized 3” hexie flowers appliquéd onto a dramatic solid background. It’s modern, graphic, and a fantastic way to showcase color blocking.

This quilt uses larger EPP shapes, making it approachable and quicker to assemble than smaller hex projects. The flowers are constructed first, then appliquéd onto the background.
