ModaVation FAQ’S
What supplies do I need to bring with me to ModaVation?
- Sewing Machine with ¼” (patchwork) foot AND zipper foot
- Pre-wound bobbins
- Preferred thread
Do I need to bring my own iron/ironing mat?
- No! Ironing stations will be set up around the perimeter of the room for everyone’s use. We ask that you leave all personal irons at home as space is limited.
What should I wear?
- Every day is filled with classroom activities, walking through our warehouses, sewing, traveling to/from the hotel to Moda Headquarters and activities. We recommend dressing comfortably and wearing tennis shoes. Typically the beginning of June can be quite warm in Dallas.
Where will the classes/schoolhouses be held?
- Most of these will be held at the hotel, however a couple will take place in our Moda Lab located on the second floor of our Notions Building. There is one flight of stairs that needs to be taken to access the Lab.
I plan to shop a lot while I am at Moda. Do I need to carry everything I purchase back with me?
- No! We will happily ship any items purchased while at ModaVation back to your shop for you free.
Do I have to attend everything?
- No. We have designed this event so that you do have the opportunity to attend every class, every schoolhouse, every event and every designer Sew-Along, however if you wish you skip anything you are welcome to.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport when I arrive?
- Transportation to/from the airport to the hotel is not provided. Please plan your own transportation. DFW is less than 10 miles from the hotel, LOVE Field is approximately 11 miles.
When should I arrive in Dallas?
- Our Kick Off event will begin Monday at 4:00pm, so we ask that you arrive prior to that so you have plenty of time to get settled in and get your sewing area set up.
Should I eat before I arrive Monday?
- Yes! We will be hosting a cocktail hour with drinks and light appetizers, however we will not be having a full dinner this night as we will jump right into the fun!
What time should I plan to depart on Friday?
- We have no planned events scheduled for Friday. Our last event will take place Thursday night. You are welcome to leave any time on Friday. Many customers use Friday to come back to the warehouse for any last minute shopping and opportunity to take advantage of the exclusive discount extended only to ModaVation guests.
Will there be a FaceBook Group we can join?
- Yes! We will be launching and inviting you all to join our ModaVation 2025 FaceBook page next month.
