They are just great strips of fabric to cut into different sizes for your quilt. You get the variety of all the colors. I love jelly rolls.[email protected]

I haven' had that many jelly rolls, but I bought a wonderful book that puts them to great use and have a few earmarked for the next jelly roll

i've been using 3 jelly rolls of "road 15" and sewing them into strip sets of 5. Then I cut four squares from each set-layer 2 squares on top of one another (rotating the top one so the strips run the opposite way the others are) and sew around the outside of the square. Then cut across diagonally twice and you have four fun blocks. makes really fun blocks. check it out at instagram "nancysewsstuff"

Well when I finish using them to decorate my sewing room I find a new jelly roll pattern to try them in.

Nine patch blocks are easy to do with jelly rolls and they are fabulous for doing a scrappy binding when you have odd ones left over!

I've made log cabin blocks with jelly rolls but have never even thought of using them for a 9-patch. Thanks for all the ideas!

I just love putting them in quilts, trying to make them not all look like strips: for example, squares, flying geese, rectangles cut on the diagonal, etc.

I use left overs for scrappy binding. I love the classic 9 patch block.

I love so many things about jelly rolls! In a pinch, you can make one of those jelly roll quilts (I don't know who started it!) by sewing the strips end to end until you have this enormous strip and then bringing it up and dewing it to itself. That is truly a terrible description, but those who have made one will know what I'm talking about. I have to restrain myself from using all my jelly rolls like that!!

Always looking for patterns to use jelly rolls. I look in the local patchwork shops and even the library. I enjoyed making `Pinwheel Pirouette` 2007 with Moda to go Madeira- Blackbird Designs. Love the little tin case it came in.
