CT-National-Waffle-Day

Happy Friday!  Today - March 25th - is National Waffle Day!

But more on that in a moment... there are a couple of things to share today.

What does the survey say?  That's what we'd like to know.

Are you familiar with the Quilter's Survey?  This is the 3rd or 4th time it's been done and since we're a sponsor, we'd love it if you would take some time to participate.  You could win one of several big prizes just by answering the questions.

Quilter's Survey 2016

This is your chance to be heard on everything quilt-related: what you like, what you'd like to see more of, what appeals to you and so on.

Red Wonder

Not quilt-related but definitely appealing.  It's called the Red Wonder and it's billed as the 8th Wonder of the World by the nice folks at Waffle Love, a gourmet waffle truck in Utah.

How do I know about it?  Waffle Love is the favorite food - especially the Red Wonder - of our own Miss Thimbleblossoms - Camille Roskelley - of Bonnie & Camille.

Camille April Showers

It's raining waffles!  Actually, that would make her happy as National Waffle Day is one of her favorite days of the year.

She loves it so much that she and her family have driven a few hours just to get a fix.  She's also apparently quite loyal and tags them in Waffle Love pictures she posts to Instagram, to the extent that they tagged her back when they were visiting Las Vegas.

Waffles-Thimbleblossoms

As Camille said - You know you have a waffle problem when a waffle truck comes to your town and tags you in their picture.  You and ten food-folks.

It's all kenspeckle!

It's pronounced KEN-spek-l - and the word means "conspicuous, easily seen or recognized."

You know I love my "Word of the Day" stuff, right.  Thursday's word was "kenspeckle" and as soon as I saw it, I knew I'd have to find a way to use it somehow.

You knew I'd get to it eventually, right?

Happy Friday!
